I am sat on my sofa watching a superb performance by England's second string winning convincingly against Ireland, 31-13. An excellent opening to the weekend.

Mark "Ronnie" Regan is well fired up for this season's 6 Nations Championship opener tomorrow against Wales. Chatting to him in during this week, he was in a relaxed and buoyant mood - full of confidence of doing a job on the Welsh on Saturday. This is great news for the England pack as Mark's enthusiasm and experience will rub off on the youngsters. 

The Welsh have been talking a good game all week and if they can live up to their chat, Saturday promises to be an awesome encounter. I bumped into Alix Popham during the week in Cardiff and he confirmed the very positive mood in the Welsh camp and belief that it's time to turn the books on Fortress Twickenham!

Ronnie will certainly make life impossible for the Welsh pack and up front England should dominate. Bring on Vainikolo once the Welsh have been softened, it up should result in a decent victorious margin for England.
