It's a great job!

It's a great job!

When I looked outside my hotel room window on Saturday and saw the heavy rain, I felt a sense of deja vu and thought we were going to be ambushed at Murrayfield again. What I didn't count on was how woeful our performance was going to be.

England's performance was a complete disaster. We kicked everything away and very badly. It's time for Brian Ashton to make some serious changes in direction or ship out.

Scotland deserved their victory and I copped a lot of flak from the Scots later in the evening at Tiger Lily and when strutting my stuff at the night club in the basement of Tiger Lily. Again vodka and cranberry came to my rescue!

The bar and club at Tiger Lily was jam packed, the atmosphere was very lively and stepped up a gear when some of the England boys arrived - and they drowned their sorrows big time!

Let's hope for a much better game next week against the Irish.

CIPRIANI SHOCKER!!

06 Mar 2008, 2:55 PM by Victor Ubogu

Jeremy Guscott & I were hosting a private dinner at Maze Restaurant last night for 8 guests, bought by the larger than life Graham Eaglesham at one of VU's numerous fundrasisng charity dinners.

After a delightful 6 course tasting menu washed down by some fines wines, cocktails and the usual accompanying shots we ended up in the trendy Chinawhite club in Piccadilly.

When we were told by the "Talent host" that Danny was on his way to the club, we were surprised. Timers have changed and you can't get away with the sort of antics we used to get up to back in the day - with the present media appetite for celebrity news going to such a high profile venue was not perhaps the best move Danny could have made.

I didn't actually see him in the club but a way to ruin a huge opportunity and tanish his image! I am surprised that Brian Ashton axed him completely from the squad as I see nothing wrong with a relaxing few hours in a club provided he didn't consume a skinful.

I am looking forward to the game in Edinburgh and hopefully we can over turn the results of our last two visits to Murrayfield. Goodluck to pocket rocket Mears - he has worked hard to make the starting line up.
